Terms of use

The terms that apply when you use sitenet.tech: what you may do here, who owns the content, and our responsibility to you.

About these terms

These terms apply when you use sitenet.tech (“the site”), which is run by Sitenet Tech Ltd (“Sitenet”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 12750911. Our registered office is 406-410 Eastern Avenue, Ilford, England, IG2 6NQ.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the site.

These terms cover the website only. The software and services we provide to clients are governed by the contract each client signs with us, and these terms don’t change it.

Using the site

You’re welcome to read the site, download the files we offer, such as the brand kit, and contact us. When you use the site, please don’t:

  • try to get into parts of the site, our systems or other people’s accounts that you aren’t allowed to use;
  • test, probe or attack the site’s security, except as our vulnerability disclosure policy allows;
  • send viruses or other harmful code, or overload the site, for example with automated requests;
  • copy the site’s content in bulk in a way that affects the site for other people;
  • use our contact form to send spam, unlawful material or messages meant to harass or mislead;
  • pretend to be someone else, or pretend to be connected with Sitenet when you aren’t.

We may block access to the site for anyone who breaks these rules.

Our content and brand

The text, design, software and illustrations on the site belong to Sitenet Tech Ltd or the people who licensed them to us. You may view them and share links to them, but you may not copy, adapt or publish them for other purposes without our written permission.

The Sitenet name, logo and living globe belong to us. You may use the files in our brand centre to refer to Sitenet, as the brand guidelines describe, but not in a way that suggests we endorse or partner with you when we don’t.

Other companies’ names and products mentioned on the site belong to their owners. Some photographs are used under the Unsplash licence.

Information on the site

We describe our software and services as accurately as we can, but the site is general information, not advice, and it isn’t an offer to supply anything. Features and availability change: anything marked “Coming soon” isn’t available yet. The details of any work we agree with you, including the price, are set out in our written quote and contract.

Availability and security

We aim to keep the site available and secure, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it.

We take reasonable steps to protect the site, but we can’t guarantee it is free of viruses. Please use your own security software when you use the internet.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

If you use the site for business, we aren’t liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, data or goodwill, or for any indirect loss, that comes from using or not being able to use the site or relying on its content. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all conditions and warranties that might otherwise apply to the site.

If you’re a consumer, we’re responsible only for loss that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. The site is provided for your private use, so we aren’t responsible to you for business losses.

Your data

Our privacy notice explains how we use personal data, and our cookie policy explains the cookies the site uses.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Please check them when you use the site.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
